Yes, critical thinking is necessary here, as opposed to emotion.

Hello from the Twin Cities, there is spiritual warfare here, if you hadn't noticed. This topic or group of sub topics is very close to me for several reasons. I'm a local volunteer SW counselor outside of abortion clinics, I am familiar with the FACE act, but I actually don't support pro lifers entering clinics (ineffective and terrifying) and would advise the same to anyone trespassing anywhere. I do try to save women and babies on the public sidewalk outside the clinic by offering free resources help, hope, friendship and free ultrasounds and yes, I have seen people that I talk to outside change their mind.

I am also involved in an organization called Restore MN. We are a grassroots group of local Biblical Christians who are trying to get back involved in our local government.

One thing that Restore MN has helped illuminate for me is that while attending boring city council meetings and commissions- I began to see the similarities to my own church ministry meetings. I began to see that for liberal people, involvement in local government is their religion. Having that understanding here in mn is important. Conservative Christians tend to give their free time and volunteering to their church, but liberal people are often atheists who have the same religious level of dedication to city council, commissions, and school boards, serving as election judges. And Christians are nowhere to be found at govt. Christians get angry when legislation is passed that violates our beliefs, but now I say to them where were you when it was proposed?
