We are nearly a lifetime away from WWII. It may be difficult to go before that and capture a modern audience that doesn't want to work too hard.

A story that moves through time needs an easy enough "now" for an audience to recognize. It would be forgivable if it was still a Christian story.

Narnia never should have been given to a secular director. It should have been like a Charlie Brown Christmas, which said, if not now for the Gospel then when?

I don't plan to go. Better to let it burn with a female "God" than hang on for another movie where they ruin it further.
