Apologies one and all! I think I broke my record for the number of typos in one post! That's what I get for trying to write after a 13-hour flight and a 7.5 hour layover in DFW airport!
Definitely enjoyed the MIT joke. NYT has a couple of writers now who appear to be able to recognize just how insular their worldview really is. Though Long Island is the 149th largest island planet wide. NPR makes tedious use of the passive voice.
I really appreciated this post, as it pushed me to think more critically about choices in writing that affect my perceptions. (Also, I could probably use more polish in my own writing!)
This covers stuff Special Report has been covering long before this. It ain't news. Who was misled, maligned and attacked for questioning the Science? And one columnist's piece is hardly a confession/concession by the NYT, not being an editorial.

Thank you for taking one for the team and reading the NYT so we don't have to.
