This New York Times feature hints at some important (but unasked) faith questions
All sins are forgivable but sin is still sin when taking away a life and not a blessing
The presence of SIN is the issue, isn't it? But why seek FORGIVENESS if there is nothing to forgive. That's the major hole in the story, right?
Maybe these women feel the need to be forgiven and the clergy/Times disagree with their guilt? Whatever is going on, it doesn't fit the old empowerment-freedom logic.
And as far as that goes, a Presbyterian with incense???
Remember Killiecrankie! And Tippermuir! And for that matter, the Disruption!
