Truth is many people are offended and say something. Those with a large bullhorn “the media” simply ignore us. That’s all. I keep asking myself what did Jesus mean when he said this:
Luke 18:8
8 I tell you, he will quickly grant justice to them. And yet, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

Even if it did it would have been in the form depicted in this image, and nobody knows what was said and done during this presumed event.
What if it was part of a narrative created by the then nascent institutional church to create a narrative time-line leading up to the presumed bodily resurrection of Jesus, which of course did not, and indeed could not have occurred.
And of course Jesus was not in any sense a Christian nor did he create the very worldly church about him every minute fraction of which was created by people who never ever met him up close and personal. Or, put in another way, did not witness or participate in the Life and Teaching Demonstration while he (Jesus) was alive, and as such receive his instructions as to how to live the Spirit-breathing Way that he (Jesus) taught and demonstrated.
Keep in mind that it's classic French satire. The French have a long tradition of skewering religious iconography and watching the reaction. They love stirring the pot. They might not understand that French satire doesn't always translate well to other cultures, but to them, that's part of the fun. Of course they're going to get a reaction if they channel The Last Supper and include a dude with his junk flopping about. So outrageous. Very French.

Did it teach me anything about media elites? No, unfortunately their reactions are the least shocking part of this whole debacle.
