I’m glad you differentiate between sleepaway camp and the day camps that basically just fill in childcare holes for desperate parents. It’s dizzying to think about filling every week of the summer with schedules and activities. But you make a real case for the challenge and rewards of an independent experience, plus the added benefit of unplugging.
